TMHA Submits Comment Letter to HUD
Monday, February 26, TMHA’s Executive Director, DJ Pendleton, submitted a comment letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on behalf of TMHA.
The comment letter was in response to HUD’s January 25 announcement that the federal agency is currently engaged in, “a top-to-bottom review of its manufactured housing rules as part of a broader effort to identify regulations that may be ineffective, overly burdensome, or excessively costly given the critical need for affordable housing.”
TMHA’s comment letter addressed several areas of regulatory concern and echoed the points made by other industry trade associations. In addition, our comment letter called on HUD to take a wholistic approach to protecting and promoting manufactured housing as a viable housing choice.
TMHA would like to thank all our members who also submitted their comments to HUD.
Accepting public comments is the first in many steps to come on HUD’s review of their program.
