TDHCA Announces New Consumer Notice
The MH Division of TDHCA announced on May 16th a revised and consolidated Consumer Notice form. Formerly, the Consumer Notice was 6-pages long and there was a separate Formaldehyde Notice. The new notice, titled Consumer Disclosure Statement and Formaldehyde Notice, is now 3-pages, and the Formaldehyde notice is integrated into the single notice.
Industry members are encouraged to incorporate the new consolidated notice into their consumer packets when selling homes. If you are providing the new consolidated notice, you do not need to separately provide the old stand-alone Formaldehyde Notice.
TMHA commends the department on their efforts to improve the consumer notice, and simply the process, while providing enhanced consumer clarity.
