Texas Manufactured Housing Sales in September 2019

September

New home sales for September moved down from August, with a large decline in single-section home sales from the previous month. Multi-section home sales grew 3% and overtook single-section home sales again as they have for all of 2019 save August and March.

September new home sales look much better in comparison to September of 2018. New single-section sales were below where they were a year ago, but multi-section sales were up 32%, a margin large enough to push total homes sold on the month 122 homes higher than a year ago.

The median age of a new home grew 8-10 days for both single-section and multi-section sales. Single-sections remain elevated.

The early look on October new home sales is solid with both single-section and multi-section homes tracking ahead of September. Multi-section sales remain elevated over October of last year and single-sections are upslightly.
