Texas Manufactured Housing Sales in November 2019

November

New home sales in November moved up over October and were up 20% over November of 2018.

Single-section homes led the month-over-month increase over October and came in above multi-section home sales for only the third month in 2019.

Both single-section and multi-section homes were well above their 2018 sales totals.

The median age of a new single-wide dropped by 29 days from last month, that’s an additional good sign for single-section shipments moving into 2020. The early data for December is tracking at 92 days, so the last two months of the year are running well below the 112 days for all of 2019.

New homes sales in Midland County doubled from last month and pushed it to the top of the list for number of home installations.

Liberty was down slightly but sales remained strong enough to keep it in the second spot.

Travis County saw a 75% increase in new homes to pull it up to third, and Montgomery and Ector counties rounded out the top five.

November marks the first time in 2019 that Harris County didn’t make a top five spot for new home installations.
