Texas Manufactured Housing Sales in June 2022 and the July Early Read

July Preliminary Data

New manufactured home sales appear to have slowed substantially in July according to the titles issued to date, with sales falling a seasonally adjusted -10.4% from June, and the raw total coming in -7.8% below July of 2021. New home sales for the month are currently running below 2018 levels.

New multi-section sales are down -3.2% compared to a year ago while single-section sales are down -12.6%.

The forecast for new homes sold in July based on the sales titled to date is 1,312 (+/- 194), take the over.

June Data

New home sales titled to date for June are up a seasonally adjusted +4.9% over the previous month, and are up +13.8% over 2021.

The updated forecast for total new homes sold in June moved down slightly to 1,656 (+/- 111).

Annual Totals

New home sales for 2022 are now up +3.3% over last year for all retail sales titled through this point in the calendar year.

Single-section sales are down slightly, while multi-section sales are pushing the total up over 2021.

The forecast for new home sales on the year moved down to 16,428 (+/- 1,342).
