Texas Manufactured Home Shipments in April 2019
April
Manufactured home shipments for April moved up 4% from March with increases in both single-section (+3.1%) and multi-section (+4.8%) homes. Single-sections are still running well below 2018 levels with April down -30.5% compared to last year. Multi-section shipments beat single-sections for the fifth straight month and beat April of 2018 by 4.5%. Single-section’s total however, pulled overall shipments down -15.4% below April of last year.

Annual Totals
Through four months of 2019 and multi-sections are up slightly over 2018 while single-section shipments are still much lower than last year’s elevated levels. Since we began reporting on shipments in 2012 multi-section shipments have only once seen two consecutive months of higher totals than single-sections, so the current run of five straight months is unprecedented in our data set.
