New single-section home sales were down in September from August and from September of 2015. New multi-section sales declined in September over August as well but were up over September of last year enough to push total new sales in positive territory for the month year-over-year.
Montgomery County continued its strong 2016 having the most retail home installations for the month of September and was followed up by Travis and Tarrant counties which both had very strong month-over-month gains. Bexar County and Harris county rounded out the top five but had fewer new home installations in September than they had the previous month.
The coin flip that is October home sales looks to be coming up tails as the preliminary data is tracking down from September and down from October of 2015.
