New home sales were down roughly three and a third percent for October from the preceding month of September. Both the single-section and multi-section markets moved down in the same 3.25% to 3.5% range. The additional month of titles processed did push October totals for both single-section and multi-section homes above their October 2015 totals at this point last year, so year-over-year 2016 is still holding on to that 8.6%+ growth over 2015.
Looking at the county install totals, Harris County had a strong month placing it in the top spot with a 57% increase over its last month’s total. The rest of the top five counties followed the state trend line with lower sales than the previous month.
The preliminary data for November looks very good thus far with a decent increase over October’s totals at this point last month and large increases over November of 2015.
