November 2016 Reports and December Preliminary Data

New single-section home sales had a strong November coming in 10% above October and 42.9% over November of 2015. November was the worst month for new home sales last year, so the year-over-year comparison looks quite striking, but up is up, and combined with an increase in multi-section home sales, new titles for 2016 have moved up to 9.5% over the previous year.

Harris, Liberty and Brazoria counties all outpaced the state’s sales increase to land in the top five counties for new installs.

The preliminary data for December is coming in just slightly below November’s pace, again on the strength of the single-section market, but is tracking a good 5% over December of 2015.

In the December Shipment Report we released earlier this month, we brought attention to the gap between shipments and new homes titled. After including the titles from that point to last Friday, that gap is now down to 318 homes and will continue to close after all of December’s new home titles are included.
