June 2018 Shipment Report
MH shipments continued to move sideways in June with a 2.3% increase in multi-section units partially offset by a -1.5% decrease in single-section homes compared to May. The 1,547 total homes shipped for the month represented a 0.3% increase over May and a 9.3% increase over June of 2017. June marks the third month in a row where home shipments have come in around 1,540 homes.
Texas manufacturing plants reporting home shipments increased by one to a total of 23 as new member Jessup Homes shipped their first houses and will now appear on the manufacturers shipment report.
Through the first half of 2018, the year is tracking 18.6% above 2017 with 1,470 more units shipped than a year ago.
Comparing MH shipments to single-family building permits for the state, manufactured homes represented 12.6% of the state’s planned new housing units.
