February 2017 Shipment Report

Multi-section shipments for the state moved up 18.8% in February over January’s total putting that segment of the market back on the pace it was on for February of last year. Single-section shipments for February moved sideways from January’s output, but at 689 units shipped that was 33% above the single-section shipments for February of 2016.

The strength of both market segments was enough to put February at 1,263 shipments, which is the second highest total for homes shipped in a month since we began reporting on the market in 2012. Not bad for the shortest month of the year, and certainly a good sign for the industry as we move into March and April.

Total production for the state cooled 7.5% from last month’s peak as less units were shipped out of state, but the total for February was still 15.8% above the same month last year.
