April 2018 Reports and May Preliminary Data

April new titles were up 0.4% from March with a 4% increase in multi-section titles.

New titles were up 39.3% over April of 2017 with single-section titles up 48% and multi-section titles up 30.5%.

For the year new titles are up 14.9% over 2017 through April.

Leading new home installations, Tarrant county had a 176.5% month-over-month increase to land at the top spot for new installs per county, and became the first of the state’s five mosts populous counties to have more new titles then they did in 2017 at this time. Ector, Harris, and Montgomery took the next three places but all had month-over-month declines. Midland County was up 40.7% over last month and placed fifth.

The preliminary data for May is showing 17.3% growth over April’s preliminary total a month ago and 55.3% growth over May of 2017.
