April 2015 Reports and May Preliminary Data

Titles for both new and used homes slipped in April compared to the preceding month and from the previous April of 2014. Titles are still up for the year however for both total and new titles and a strong upward revision in used titles has pushed them just slightly above 2014 as well.

Looking forward to May, both shipments and processed titles to date are down for the month. With the majority of the state getting close to 8+ inches of rain above the norm, we're hoping that bad weather was the culprit and that June shipments will signal a rebound. Even with the slow down shipments for the year through May are right about where we were in 2014.
