TMHAs 64th Annual Convention Announcement
We are only months away from returning to the J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa in San Antonio on August 14-16, 2016. We hope you will consider joining us for our 64th Annual Convention.
The J.W Marriott has undergone millions in renovations since our last convention increasing amenities, expanding the pool and water park attractions, and generally offering an even better experience than years before.
In addition to the resort, TMHA is proud to offer a diverse array of experienced and knowledgeable speakers who will appeal to industry members across the spectrum. Our opening session panel will be one of this year's pre-eminent presentations.
How has Texas remained a national shipment leader? Why has there been a major inflow of capital and demand for Texas manufactured home communities? What will the future hold for the Texas manufactured housing industry? How is the industry going to adapt to the challenges of providing housing choices to retiring baby boomers, millennials, and the growing and diverse population of Texas? How does the industry address our biggest challenges such as zoning discrimination and greater local acceptance? What will change the perceptions to reflect the modern homes we build? How is our industry impacted by the changings in oil price? And what is going on with all this talk of "tiny homes?"
TMHA is thrilled to welcome a panel of the industry’s most prominent leaders to start our Monday, August 15, Annual Education Day with a discussion on the big questions facing our industry. The panel will also focus on the Texas market and what they see as opportunities and challenges facing the Lone Star State.
Moderated by Dick Ernst, President of Financial Marketing Associates, Inc., he will be joined by Kevin Clayton, President and CEO, Clayton Homes; Joe Stegmayer, Chairman and CEO, Cavco Industries, Inc.; Jayar Daily, COO, American Homestar, and Steve Schaub, COO, YES! Communities. These industry leaders will start our Annual Education Day with an hour and half discussion about our Texas industry.
We encourage all TMHA members to join us in San Antonio this year to join the discussions, learn, and most of all have a great time as we look to another promising year in Texas.
