TMHA Members and Staff Meet with Congressman Neugebauer
On Friday, March 21, TMHA members Lance Inderman, Oscar Powers, Shawn Fuller, Rosa Fuller and Executive Director, DJ Pendleton, sat down with Congressman Randy Neugebauer at Mustang Homes in Lubbock, Texas.
The group spent an hour with the congressman discussing the negative impact the Dodd-Frank and resulting CFPB regulations are having on retail operations in both Texas District 19 but also across the nation.
Congressman Neugebauer was incredibly receptive and concerned over the new realties we face in our industry under the new federal regulations. He pledge to continue to work with the association in the immediate future.
Congressman Neugebauer handily defended his seat in congress against two republican challengers in the most recent primary. He also serves with Texas Congressman Jeb Hensarling on the House Financial Services Committee, which is the committee in the House were all bills related to home financing must first start. He is also the chair of the Housing and Insurance Subcommittee within the House Financial Service Committee.
A big thanks to all the work and support from the Fullers, Inderman and Powers to set up and host the meeting.
