TMHA and the Already Busy 2014
We are nearly a full month into the New Year and a half month into the full implementation of all of the Dodd-Frank regulations. In this Texas legislative interim year TMHA has been anything but passive.
The most significant effort recently undertaken was the TMHA Dodd-Frank Implementation Workshop. Granted it was regrettable to need such a workshop in the first place to address the significant and fundamental changes new federal regulations impose on our industry, but we were pleased to host more than 350 attendees from more than nine different states.
Reacting to the changing federal regulatory environment, TMHA’s Board of Directors tasked us with organizing and putting on an event to provide valuable education on how the manufactured housing industry in Texas has been forever changed.
We are grateful to all of those who took our online survey after the event. Of those who responded to our survey we were pleased to see 90.62 percent agreed the event was well organized and 68.75 percent agreed they are either very likely or extremely likely to recommend to others to watch an online rebroadcast of the event. We take these statistics as well as the other responses to our survey as a sign of attendee satisfaction with our event.
We are currently working on editing the various presentations at the event as well as development of TMHA’s new video based delivery system to rebroadcast the event in the near future. For those who were unable to make the event, the rebroadcasts will provide you an opportunity to access the presenters and Resource Guide developed in conjunction with the event. For those who attended the event, you will also have access to the rebroadcasts and will receive updates as the Resource guide is continually updated by TMHA.
TMHA is now taking the responses we received along with the calls, questions and requests coming in every day from both members and non-members to our board of directors at our February 18 board meeting. The board will then direct staff as to our future efforts and member offerings related to the federal changes. If you have any specific requests or ideas you would like considered by TMHA’s Board of Directors that you have not either emailed, called or included in your survey responses, please email them to info@texasmha.com.
