TexCo Community Owner Event Another Success
On February 7 the second annual TexCo manufactured housing community owner conference was held in League City, Texas. More than 150 attendees showed up for the sold-out event.
The day of presentations consisted of best practices, economic analysis, legislative updates, as well as hearing from some of the best experts in the MH community industry. TMHA was proud to be a part of this event put on by Mobile Insurance and Sunstone Manufactured Housing Consultants.
Each presentation was purposefully limited to less than 30 minutes to keep the content concise and meaningful. The format maintained everyone’s’ attention, and allowed for a wide array of topics and speakers to cover a lot of ground during the seven-and-a-half-hour event.
I was honored to speak about the most recent legislative activity in Texas. Personally, I tend to be brevity-challenged, so the tight timeslot really forced me to get to the point quickly. But I also talk fast, so I could at least share a few of the best stories from the 2017 Texas Legislative Session where TMHA helped pass two major bills for the industry.
It was great to see so many members at the event and meet many non-members. We hope we presented a good value proposition to those non-members on the fence about joining our ranks. Like I said in my closing remarks for just $0.60/day you can become a member of TMHA.
Many thanks and congratulations are in order for all of the work of Kurt Kelley and his team at Mobile Insurance; as well as Casey Thom, Waylon Grubbs, and Julie Teitelbaum with Sunstone MH Consultants.
We can’t wait for next year.
